About the author-
Mike McKinley currently lives in Virginia with his wife and five children. He is the pastor of Guilford Baptist Church. He has written several books.
My thoughts- When I read the title and description of Passion, I knew I needed to learn more. By the end of the Introduction I was intrigued and couldn’t stop. I casually read this book , but it can also be used as a devotional.
I would not have had such a moving experience while reading this book if Mike McKinley’s writing style hadn’t been so approachable. It is his writing style that will enable non-Christians to mature Christians to read and be moved into a closer relationship with Jesus.
I liked the description of Jesus’s last day, because there were not many Bible verses that interrupted the flow of the book. McKinley also added examples of similar actions today which helped make Jesus’s pain and God’s reasons easier for me to understand.
Passion is an excellent book which shows us how much Jesus loved us and what we can gain from loving Him. Please read a copy today!
