About the Book: The text for this book comes from The Book of Common Prayer. The illustrations are done in watercolor and just pop from the pages. The most interesting illustration was that of the yellow iris.
About the Author: Paul Goble lives in Rapid City, South Dakota and has won a Caldecott medal for his book, The Girl who Loved wild Horses.
What My Children Thought: My five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter loved this book and recommend it to everyone. Their favorite picture was of the redpolls. My daughter was really taken with this book. The only thing she didn't like was the forest fire,
What I Liked: I liked this entire book. The illustrations were my favorite.
What I Disliked: Nothing.
Would I Recommend: Yes.
